BassBus manages entertainment for the Taboo Naughty But Nice Sex Show and Tattoo & Arts Festival in Calgary and Edmonton. The BMO Centre and Edmonton EXPO Centre provide spacious, well-equipped venues for us to execute ambitious productions, and CanWest gives us the creative freedom to dream big.
Taboo and Tattoo are opportunities to scale up our productions with big pop and visual impact. We install truss to mount lighting, smoke and fire effects, and aerial performers. Video projection mapping and live video feeds create all-encompassing visual environments across thousands of square feet. Perimeter lighting and auxiliary stages entertain patrons in multiple locations as events demand.
BassBus also provides talent buying and entertainment management. We program up to eight hours each day, with a focus on acts which reflect the events’ natures. The Taboo Naughty but Nice Show merits entertainers with a playful, sexy edge, such as drag and burlesque, while patrons of the Tattoo & Arts Festival engage with fire or sideshow acts.
The BassBus brand and marketing presence provides CanWest with a powerful promotional tool. With the substantial freedom CanWest provides us, we’ve shared gorgeous, high impact photos and video of fire performers, racy dancers, and inspiring circus acts through social media to thousands of potential patrons.
These shows have also allowed BassBus to craft original productions such as Infuego, a hybrid of fire dance, pyrotechnics, house music, live instrumentation and burlesque. Infuego is sexy, racy, fiery art for events that push boundaries and entertain on a scale of thousands.
